For this project, we were split into two teams and were provided with preliminary work from a previous semesters Design Studio class. Each team was tasked with developing a separate concept for the Creative Co-Labs logo design. We began by looking at the client identity analysis and previous mood boards.

New Moodboard & Sketches
Scott (Art Director) provided us with new moodboards to draw inspiration from and we decided that it would be best to have everyone create sketches and narrow it down to our favorites.

Going forward we decided to vote on our favorite sketches and have Dean and Dominique (designers) further develop them.

At this point in the project, I was switched to a different team where I was assigned as one of the Designers. I worked on Melanie's plant logo from Team 1 and tried to incorporate the clients requests to have the planets coming out of "creative co labs" and make the planets more abstract while Elisa worked on the final touches for the human C logo (2A).

Digital Drafts
I explored various planet and leaf options that would tie the galaxy and abstract elements together to portray a sense of coming and growing together. I did that by playing with the stems coming
out of the "I".
out of the "I".

It was decided that the planets could use some additional work. Melanie and Edgar created additional planets that could work as a final solution while also working on stem placements.

Final Solution
After receiving feedback from the teams, it was decided that the original leaf type portrayed an organic feeling. For the final solution we incorporated Melanie's original leaf design with the newly created abstract planets. We also used the original color palette and included an additional palette that was more neutral.

Reflection
The project presented many curveballs, such as the sudden team change, which forced me to shift gears and quickly adapt to working on a different concept, as well as working with an entirely different team. Luckily for me, both teams were stacked with great teammates and good communication was maintained throughout the course of the project. Overall, this project provided unique learning experience.
